We're in full swing with event season folks. Everything from pool parties to rooftop corporate events, weddings, our own events, & more. It's a little bit of crazy, and a whole lot of fun. Really appreciate all of our clients and event planners for including us. Here are a few shots from recent events we've been a part of:
We're so thankful to everyone who came out to our first annual Tropisol on Cinco de Mayo at Studio No 7. Beautiful & diverse DJ sets by Jeremy Avalon, Mike Zarin, Salah Ananse, & Trey West along with a special performance by Ajmal Millar & his models. Design Our Lives & Real Chicks Rock! were in the house, and Espolon generously made possible complimentary craft margarita variations to start off the evening. We were also able to raise some serious cash for our community Youth DJ group.
We were devastated by Prince's passing, and wanted to be a part of celebrating his legacy in our musical landscape. We teamed up with Salah Ananse (Soul Sessions, Afrique Electrique) & DJ Kemit (Spreadlove) to deliver what turned out to be a truly unbelievable outpouring of expression.
We arrived to a line wrapped around the building, eventually hosting almost 1,000 people who came from all over - literally, one man drove from Cleveland just for this party - to dance, sing, & share memories. The police eventually came and closed down an adjoining street to allow the party to turn into a block party.
Special thanks to all who made this event happen in such short notice - Nina, Aishah, Shannon, etc. - and to everyone who was willing to endure the lines, crowds, traffic, etc. to be a part of this. It's all, at the end, a tribute and testament to Prince's influence in our lives.
We're back at Studio No 7 providing live visuals this Sunday to celebrate the High Museum's current exhibit featuring Basquiat, featuring Fahamu Pecou, Salah Ananse, Kai Alce, & A Lady Named Pearl.
Sunday, March 6 • 7-11p • No cover
We had a blast last night providing lighting & visuals for Sunday School featuring Salah Ananse, DJ Kemit, Daz-I-Kue, Kai Alce, Roland Clark, Byron the Aquarius, ChiProfess, Deique Bleu, & more. Our favorite comment of the night was someone who called the visual background "visual soup" - we had to run with it. Thanks Ramadhan!
As always, we really enjoyed being a part of and supporting Pecha Kucha Atlanta. There was a new energy in the air last night, and we're pretty excited for the rest of 2016. Stay connected to our events page for more information. We're also pretty good with posting stuff on Facebook as well if that's your thing.
Part Ted Talk, part art show, Pecha Kucha is a multi-media event where creatives present interesting ideas ranging from architecture to nonprofit concepts to art installations. Each presenter is given 20 slides for 20 seconds.
Soul Spin has been a proud event sponsor of Pecha Kucha for over 2 years now, providing background tunes and A/V support.

Very pleased to be migrating most of our online presence of our Youth DJ Crew over to it's own little corner on the internet. Our main site is now www.soulspinstudios.com, and Soul Spin (Youth) can now be found at soulspin.org.
We started Soul Spin (Youth) two years ago, and as we move into 2016 are looking at taking the program from startup/pilot phase into toddlerhood. We've got some big plans coming up in the near future, and are paving the way toward a greater capacity to share what we're doing with you all.
To everyone who's been a part of our journey, thank you. To those looking to get on board, welcome!
